 ROBERT
B. PEDDY, JR. was born and raised in Lakeland,
Florida, graduating from Lakeland Senior High School in 1984. He earned his
Bachelor of Arts Degree from Emory University, Atlanta Georgia, in 1988 and his
Juris Doctor from Stetson College of Law, St. Petersburg, Florida in 1991.
Mr. Peddy is admitted to practice
in the Courts of Florida, as well as the United States Supreme Court, the
Supreme Court of the State of Florida, and the United District Court for the
Middle District of Florida.
Mr. Peddy’s courtroom experience
began as an Assistant State Attorney in the Tenth Judicial Circuit in Bartow,
Florida, for State Attorney Jerry Hill. During his five years, he had numerous
trial experiences and was assigned to the special prosecution division in the
prosecution of white collar crimes. In 1998, Mr. Peddy joined the law firm of
Wendel, Chritton, & Parks, Chartered and practiced in civil trials involving
complex litigation, family law, and criminal defense work. Mr. Peddy quickly
became a named Partner, Wendel, Chritton, Parks, DeBari & Peddy, Chartered, in
2000.
On July 4, 2000, Mr. Peddy
established the Law Offices of Peddy, P.A. serving clients in the areas of
family law and criminal defense. Mr. Peddy’s thorough preparation, unequivocal
personal service and aggressive representation has led him to successfully
litigate cases and trials throughout the State of Florida.
Mr. Peddy is
and has been involved in the local civic and legal community; Tenth Judicial
Circuit Grievance Committee B Attorney Member; Lakeland Bar Association (serving
as President in 1998); Polk County Trial Lawyers Association; Polk County
Criminal Defense Bar; Willson American Inn of Court; Lakeland Rotary Club; West
Polk County Unit of the Board of Directors of the American Cancer Society
(serving as President of the Board in 2004 - 2005).
